1974 first WOrld CUP SLALOM at the Gudiberg:

Christian Neureuther wins this race and Gustavo Thöni from Italy comes in 2nd. Third place goes to the German Hansjörg Schlager

World championships 1978:

Ingemar Stenmark gets World Champion in Slalom Men. In the women´s edition, the Austrian Lea Sölkner succeeds, Silver medalist is Pamela Behr from Germany.

WORLD CHAMPIOSNHIPS 2011:

The French Jean Baptiste Grange wins gold at the men´s competition. Women´s World Champion is Marlies Schild from Austria.

2022 RETURN OF THE SLALOM:

After 11 years without any World Cup Slalom at the Gudiberg, Garmisch-Partenkirchen celebrates end of February 2022 the arrival of the best athletes with two consecutive slaloms on one week-end.

LAST GERMAN VICTORY:

In March 2010 Felix Neureuther wins the World Cup Finals, beating Manfred Pranger (2nd/AUT) and André Myhrer (3rd/SWE)

First night slalom at the gudiberg:

On the 4th January 2023 the first time in history Garmisch-Partenkirchen hosts a night slalom. The Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen wins in front of 7000 enthusiastic fans, beeting Manuel Feller (AUT) in 2nd and Clement Noel (FRA) in 3rd. The German Linus Straßer drops out after intermediate best time in the 2nd run.
